Hacienda Riquelme

Welcome to our beautiful apartment on the Hacienda Riquelme golf resort in the Murcia region of Spain. As well as its position within the Jack Nicklaus designed 18 hole golf course, the apartment is perfectly located for running, cycling and mountain biking.

Our apartment is a second floor, two bedroom apartment with stunning views over the swimming pool, golf course, olive groves and mountains.

The lounge area comprises a 3/4 seater sofa bed, swivel chair and 32″ flat screen TV with international cable TV including many English language channels. There is also a DVD player. Free wifi is included throughout the apartment.

There are two good sized bedrooms with large single beds, fitted wardrobes and storage. The bedrooms access the rear balcony through patio doors.

The recently updated kitchen has an electric oven and halogen hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave.

Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is located between the village of Sucina, and the mountains in the Murcia Region of Spain. It is built around an award winning 18 hole, Jack Nicklaus designed golf course and surrounded by farmland with olive, orange and lemon groves.

The mountain range known as the sleeping lady lies just a few miles to the North and is crossed with numerous paths which are ideal for walking and mountain biking. The network of quiet roads are ideal for cycling and the terrain allows cyclists to plan routes of varied distance and degree of difficulty.

At the heart of the site is El Cason de Riquelme, built in the 18th century, which now houses the restaurant, bar and clubhouse. The front of El Cason opens onto a large courtyard with a well stocked supermarket and golf shop. The rear terrace looks out onto the original walled gardens.

 

As well as the award winning golf course with its lakes and wildflower areas, there is a driving range and putting green. A separate games area at the heart of the site comprises tennis courts, racquetball courts and a multi use games area for 5 a side football, basketball etc. Children’s play areas are situated  all around the site.

The second floor apartment looks over one of 10 beautiful swimming pools, the first fairway of the golf course, olive and lemon groves towards the sleeping lady.

The grounds, are meticulously maintained throughout the year, providing a changing landscape through the seasons.

Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is located between the village of Sucina, and the mountains in the Murcia Region of Spain.

The site is easily accessed by two international airports: Murcia San Javier about 15 minutes away and Alicante just over an hour away. A further airport at Corvera, approximately 20 minutes away is currently being commissioned and expected to open in 2018.

The main City of Murcia lies about an hour to the North, with the historic town of Cartagena about 40 minutes to the South.

The site is located less than 20 minutes to from the nearest beaches at San Pedro Pinatar on the Northern edge of the Mar Menor, with San Javier and Los Alcázares further down the coast.

Along the south coast lie the stunning beaches and coves accessed from the Calblanque National Park.

To the North East lies the bustling and lively coastal town of Torrevieja, where you also find the natural salt lagoons at Parque Natural des las Lagunas de La Mata y Torrevieja.

Further North along the coastline is the Town of Alicante with its picturesque old town.
